The New York Botanical Gardens

In August Claire and I had the great fun of returning to our old stomping grounds, New York City, to photograph a wedding at the New York Botanical Gardens. It’s a photographer’s dream to photograph with backdrops like these, and working with the team at Starr Catering could not have been a better experience.  John Garrone and the entire staff flawlessly pulled off an outdoor ceremony, despite the threat of rain showers (that thankfully never quite materialized).

Loved our bride and groom.  Loved the Botanical Gardens. Still love New York.

David & Umut at St. Francis Winery

Surrounded by loving families, and with majestic Mount Hood as their backdrop, Umut & David wed this July in a ceremony that can only be described as bursting with joy.  It was one of those weddings where I found myself getting goosebumps during the ceremony and first dance, and I was truly honored to bear witness to their day.  Cheers to a life filled with laughter and dancing guys!   xoxox Tia

Meredith & Alex at Vintners Inn

I completely ADORED working with Meredith & Alex.  They were so low key, natural and happy. Just fully in the moment, you know?  That’s what I wish for all my couples.

Jennifer and Chris at Catelli’s in Geyserville CA

Jennifer and Chris’s wedding day started off with misty rain and low grey clouds that didn’t exactly look promising.   The whole day was planned as an outdoor event, with the ceremony taking place in Catelli’s sweetly landscaped garden area, and cocktails and dinner to follow on the dramatic circular patio. You’d think a bride might get a little tense when that happens. Not Jennifer. When I arrived at her future in-laws home she was all smiles, relaxed  and ready to go with whatever the day brought. And sure enough, she was right not to worry!  The rain let up for her family photos, then seemed to think about starting up again, and finally gave up entirely and even let the sun peek through as the guests began to arrive for the ceremony. Perfect wedding day serendipity.

After the ceremony, we had time to sneak away and have fun photographing around tiny Geyserville. A special thank you to my sister Carolyn who opened up her tasting room, Locals, so the bride and groom could have a little pink bubbly before we headed off to photograph some traffic-stopping kisses, took a quick trip out to the vineyards, and checked out some classic Geyserville locations.

Back at Catelli’s the party was getting started, and a nicer group of family and friends I can’t imagine. Just a relaxed and gloriously happy event from beginning to end – and that is just how I imagine Jennifer and Chris’s life will be as well!

Jennifer & John at Stryker Sonoma

Jennifer and John were married this April at the stunning Stryker Sonoma Winery. They were both such a pleasure to work with, and I wish them a glorious sun filled future together!

Dana and Ben at Sebastiani Winery

Some weddings are just an absolute delight from beginning to end…and that’s how it was when Dana and Ben were married at Sebastiani Winery on a perfect fall day last October.

A huge thank you to the always fabulous Denise Kramer of Denise Kramer Weddings, and the wonderful folks at Sebastiani Vineyards and Winery.

When the wedding runs smoothly, and the site is beautiful, everything is easier!

Mayacama Wedding

Natalie and Neal are so genuine, and were so much fun to work with!  Stephanie Beer of Convenant Coordinating teamed up with Paige Benjamin of Passiflora to set the mood and it was spectacularly beautiful.  I particularly loved the use of olive leaves in the table arrangements and the glowing lanterns dangling from the olive trees.  All very soft and romantic and suiting Nat & Neal to a “t”.  They couldn’t have been happier with how the whole day turned out, and I couldn’t be happier for a sweeter couple.

A simply perfect Inverness wedding

The misty rain only made everything more lovely for this intimate celebration at Manka’s Inverness Lodge.

With Lillie, Austin, and Gino in the Marin Headlands

Just one of those perfect days.

Jacuzzi Winery Wedding

Ella and Rick came all the way from Australia to marry at the beautiful Jacuzzi Winery.  It was my first time photographing there and it didn’t disappoint.  Everywhere you turn there is a lovely stone archway or a breathtaking view.  Truly a treat for a wedding photographer!
